On March 25th 2010 the Black Student Union of Point Park held their Women of Humility Gala. As treasure of the Black Student Union I feel that the event went well and everyone enjoyed themselves. I’ve received a lot of positive feedback from people that were in attendance as well as from people who heard about the event.
The seven women that were honored were Castleberry-Singleton, UPMC; Dr. Nancy D. Washington, Community Champion; Gretchen Haggerty, United States Steel; Dr. Karen McIntyre, Point Park University; Dr. Angela Isaac, Point Park University; Marsha Ellis Jones, PNC Bank; and Helen Fallon, Point Park University. The keynote speaker was Doris Carson Williams, president and chief executive officer of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania. Those that were honored received a scholarship in their name.
I’m a junior business management major from the Pittsburgh area. Even though I am from the Pittsburgh area I decided to stay on campus to get the college experience. I love art [all forms with most mediums],long walks, late nights, early mornings, all types of music and I love to travel most of all.
